Note about Items labeled BPI Certified Compostable, while these are technically compostable we currently partner with a local small farm and these items will take years to break down. At a commercial site they can grind everything up into tiny pieces with large machinery making the process faster. But the only machinery we have going on is out arms and pitch forks!
Where do my food scraps go?
We partner with local farms in Brevard, NC! We transport your food scraps to the compost site, where they are converted into a nutrient-rich soil amendment. Want to receive finished compost? Choose the "includes finished compost" subscription option, and we will return your bucket full of ready-to-use compost once a month!
Won't it stink?
Our specialty buckets include tight-fitting lids that keep the smell down. If you include a cut lemon or two in the bottom of your bin, that can help as well. Every bin delivery will include a fresh bin with a fully compostable liner, so you won't have to worry about receiving smelly food scraps!
